The waste management model with social value promoted by Solidança has turned out to be a successful model in which more municipalities are betting every day. This model represents an environmental and social benefit, promoting proper waste management and its PxR (preparation for reuse) while they encourage the creation of work and social integration jobs for people who are socially vulnerable.
The Solidança Foundation operates in the province of Girona through the Insertion Company ADAD L’Encant, carrying out the textile waste management service for more than twenty years through the Roba Amiga Program. Since 2021 is also managing bulky waste door-to-door in various municipalities in the Gironès area.
This management model is implemented in other services promoted by the Foundation in the province of Barcelona with one of the largest textile waste PxR plants in Catalonia located in Sant Just Desvern, with RAEE waste management, a third-generation recycling centre management model promoted by the entity, and the household waste management department in the city of Mataró.
